🌿 Wellness Wednesday Tip #11 🌿

Speak to Yourself Like Someone You’re Healing
(Words create biology.)

Your nervous system doesn’t speak English — it speaks tone, intention, and pattern.

Every thought is a signal.
Every word is a chemical.
And your inner voice is either reinforcing safety… or stress.

Most people push their bodies with criticism.
“I’m not doing enough.”
“I look terrible today.”
“Why can’t I just get it right?”

But healing doesn’t happen through punishment.
It happens through safety.

Here’s the tip:
Catch yourself today — just once — in a moment of self-judgment.
Pause.
Then speak to yourself like someone you’re helping heal.

Try this:
→ “You’re doing your best.”
→ “You’re allowed to take up space.”
→ “I see you. I’ve got you.”

Even one kind phrase can rewire your system.

Why it matters:

  • Reduces inner threat perception

  • Boosts oxytocin and vagal tone

  • Enhances recovery, digestion, and emotional regulation

  • Reinforces neuroplasticity and behavior change

  • Builds self-trust and inner safety

You’re not broken.
You’re becoming.

Try it today:
Pause. Breathe.
Say something kind to yourself — out loud.
Let your body feel the shift.

Reflection:
If your inner voice became your personal trainer, healer, or guide — what would it say?

Yours in wellness,
